Cristy has been on faculty in the Department of Family Medicine at UNC School of Medicine since 2006. Her special interests are family-centered maternal child health and full spectrum family medicine.

Cristy obtained a Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she also obtained a Master in Public Health. Following medical school, she completed her residency training at UNC Hospital in family medicine.

Cristy completed undergraduate study at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where she was a Morehead Scholar.
